Mountains for Miracles inaugural expedition promises to be a truly epic endeavor! This expedition to Tanzania, run exclusively for us by our guiding partner, Eastern Mountain Sports, includes a six-day climb of Mount Kilimanjaro and a four-day wildlife safari. The dates for this expedition are 11 to 24 June, 2007 with an optional add-on trip to the beaches of Zanzibar from 24 to 27 June. Mountains for Miracles has teamed to with EMS to provide an exclusive rate for MFM climbers at an all-inclusive per person cost of $4,600, including air fare to and from NYC JFK International Airport. Our expedition promises four and five star accommodations and premium porter service on the mountain, and still costs two to three thousand dollars less than most major competitors! We request that each of our climbers raise an additional $5,000 as a donation to Mountains for Miracles for presentation to the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute & the Jimmy Fund for innovative pediatric oncology research. This requested donation can be made directly by the climber or through fundraising from within personal networks of friends and family or through some combination of the two. A complete fundraising guide, to include a personal First Giving fundraising page, will be provided to each climber to assist in their fundraising process.
